As choreographer, Peter creates his own work in Belgium and abroad. What’s more, he is currently offering his class, titled ”Letting go”, around Europe to both amateurs and  professionals.

Like his personality, Peter’s work combines humor and severity/gravity/sobriety, mathematical composition and expressive impact, and music and dance. Though busy with it, he never stops at the formal level in choreography because he is filled with the urge to explore something human - an essence or vitality often hidden behind our socially-determined structures.

While recognizing social phenomena and translating them into physical language occupies much of his artistic work and experience, Peter looks all the time for ways to share actual experience with his students and the public. Indeed, for Peter, we can all recognize a phenomenon’s archetypal origins, yet through the physical abstraction Peter offers in performance and in class, all are invited to connect to what they recognize through personal history, knowledge, and current point of view:

"I am since the beginning of my career interested in the connection between the social and the artistic - researching movement not only as a pure means of artistic expression but in connection to social structures and anthropological origins. I like to see myself as a mixture between a poet, a scientist, a disciplined craftsmen, a naive, playful child, a pragmatic researcher, and a dreaming explorer. I always want to travel to the edge between emotion and structure, the known and the forgotten, the rational and the surreal.

I think creating is playing because to create is to remember once again that everything is possible! Even if what I do at the moment is of utmost importance to me, it is just a game with rules that can be and will be changed at any moment - just like life, really."
